How Much Does It Cost to Hire M.C. Moving?

We will give you a custom estimate based on your home’s square-footage, how much stuff you have, and the distance between your old and new home. You can generate an online quote to get an idea of what it will cost.

Good to know: A “local move” means that we can get everything loaded, moved, and unloaded in one day. (Glory be!) A “long-distance” move means that the move will take more than one day to complete, usually due to the distance between homes.

Full-service residential moving price includes:

  • One truck
  • Two professional movers
  • Three hours minimum
  • Furniture disassembly and assembly
  • All the doo-dads (dollies, plastic wrap, carpet protectors, you name it)

Base Price Goes Up For:

  • Packing and unpacking boxes
  • More hours, movers, or trucks

When do I know the final price of my move?

You know the final price on the day of your move. When you book, we will give you a price range based on the estimated number of hours it will take to complete the job. Your final cost will fall right-smack in the middle of that range 80 percent of the time.

What about the other 20 percent? Sometimes a move takes more or fewer hours than expected based on the info provided at the time of booking. The more accurate and specific you can be, the more likely your final price will fall within range.

How and when do I pay?
When the move is complete, your crew leader will get your written confirmation that the move is successfully complete. Then, he’ll take your payment via credit/debit card before leaving your house.

What to Expect on Moving Day

Prior to the big day, you pack your boxes. On moving day, we arrive at your home on time and begin loading.

We bring the truck and the manpower—of course! But we also bring tools of the trade, the things that make moving easier. Dollies, plastic wrap, and pads — we’ve got it all.

Your moving crew can disassemble any furniture that needs it, and they’ll put it back together upon arrival at your new home.

When every last thing is done, your crew leader will ask you to verify a successful completion with your signature, and then we will take payment via credit/debit card. 

Do You Offer Packing and Unpacking?

Yes, we do! You can get this as a standalone service, or you can add it to a full-service move. We quote based on the estimated number of hours for the job. M.C. Moving provides all the boxes, paper, and other packing supplies. We clearly label everything for sanity-saving purposes. 

What If Something Gets Broken or Damaged?

Accidents happen even to the best. (But not often!) If something gets damaged, then one of your movers will take a photo of the damage and text it to us, who will immediately call you and discuss how he can make it right.
